New nine factions sect question (SPOILER)

So I did the old man questline and now I'm the leader of the New Nine Factions Sect. What do I do with it? I don't see ways to get contribution points, there isn't a guy to spar with. There's some generic npcs standing around that don't do anything or say much. The 2 old men are in the throne room but after they gave me their ultimates and got one a new apprentice there isn't much to do with them.

Is there anything I can do with the sect?

u just earn achievement, there are 1 more quest (not effect main story) this is find disciple for Chu Kuangseng, and i have no idea about this mission because I dont know to do it too:))

The disciple mission required you to have in your party a companion that has at lease 8 in each aptitude. Str and Dex and such. You then talk to Chu Kuangseng and pich that companion in a list of companions in your party that qualify and that companion gets a bunch of stat boosts.

Anyway, thanks for the answer and I was afraid there wasn't anything else. Though it kind of makes sense. All the other sect leaders sit there and don't do anything all day every day.

To my understanding, you've reached the end once you've obtained both ultimates. You cannot quit from Nine Faction Sect at this point, so all other sect related quests are locked. You can either restart a new game, or continue playing other quests which are not sect related, such as Ye Family Army, or stopping the invasion, Jianghu master, etc.

Seems like a wasted thing. I wish I could induct some of my companions into my sect or train these disciples standing around.

I had already done Jianghu Master and Peak by this point. 3rd playthrough, so already had every exterminate achievement (except gosh darn Fire Sect gosh darnit). at 298 achievement points and really wanted to put it over to 300 but this locked out EVERYTHING. All potential romances, join sect, do sect task, etc. Have no idea how to beat Shifa boss in SKy Breaker so cant get the 1200 achievement (Im assuming other bosses are similar and have a wall of amazing talents). If it weren't for this new Yan update, there wouldve been nothing to do.

Im probably going to start a dummy run to get the join/task relate ones I have and put it over 300 and satisfy the OCD.

How do you get more sect contribution points though? If I just go around exterminating other sects, will I automatically get sect contribution points?

I got some contribution through specific Red-Label town quests from the town board, but these are non-repeatable and only give 500 sect contribution points.

Biggest letdown in the game, IMO. You play the 'main' old man storyline to completion, your reward? Ending text that just shrugs at you and says 'hey maybe you'll lead them well, or maybe you will not'. A sect with no content! He won't let you leave anymore!
