The Slingshot itself is a good weapon in the beginning. But I personally think Throwing stars are better, so I change it later. Blunderbus was only used to deal with multiple enemies in the Dark Forest.
In the beginning, I didn't use close-range weapons because there's no many Magic type enemies, so I used Hammer if needed. Later I used monster drop gear like Bear Claw, Krakenaxe and Demon Sword.
Thanks, I see there are more effects that are shown in cardopedia.
Now I'm wondering what is the effect of defense and attack speed? I'm searching and not finding any answers
You basic villager attacks roughly once every 4 s and can do 1-3 points of damage.
Items that increase attack speed make you swing faster. Ninja = throwing star (+3 attack speed ) are very fast. Maybe once every 2s
Items that add defense seem to cut the amount of damage you take. Early on a rabbit can hit your villager for 2-3 damage on a good swing. Once you have some items like chain mail and a hat they seem to only hit for 1.
I have no idea how the levels on the items work. They could very well apply additional hit, damage and mitigation modifiers.
But there is a mod called Better Info that shows the specifics of a combat card like attack, defense, speed, stun chance, etc.
