About the cheese on the floor

I've been wondering what the "creative solutions" are for that one meat room in maintenance. My first visit there, I had no inventory space so I couldn't get the meat or other stuff but there was no rat. Now, the rats won't leave.
Is there a permanent way to get rid of them like burning corpses? I didn't try burning the cheese but it felt weird to do so. Do I have to use a torch / should I yolo inside and grab the crate?

OK literally one second later I thought about checking reddit, and burning the cheese with fuel actually counts for the "Burning bodies" achievement, guess I have my answer.
I'm still curious though, did you do something else to access this room consistently?
