Mouse pointer permanently leaving the game's screen

I got an annoying issue with the game. Using two monitors, I always got the problem, the mouse pointer is not captured in the game, but leaving the game screen to the right desktop if e.g. looking to the right in-game. This is pretty annoying since the game is recognizing this as clicking outside the game window when picking up icons or opening doors, so I have to move back the mouse pointer, click again, a flash shows and I can continue, but it takes just moments to happen all again.

Never mind which screen mode. Anybody else? Is there a solution? Restarting does not help. Only guess would be to shut off my second monitor, but this is a little bit dull.

use "dual monitor tools" - it is free software - it let you lock mouse pointer inside the borders of one screen. I have been using it for decade

Thank you for the suggestion! I figured it out, it's really dull. First it wasn't just Amnesia but another game, too, so I restarted Steam, but same issue. Because I was really annoyed, I clicked a few times on the game icon from the second screen, some rage-clicking actually. Ever since the effect is gone. It's so strange.
