How long did you need to beat this game?

Edit: I've seen a youtube video yesterday where someone has beaten the game in 12:20 minutes without any glitches.

60 minutes?!?!

I'm at 5hrs now and just finished the maintenance part but do have prison, soldier quarters and arsenal left.

Oh and I died already over 20 times because of the rats and the beast itself.

But I cannot believe you that you beat the game on your first playthrough in 60 minutes because I have seen many guys/speedrunners which needed all at least 1.5 to 3hrs..

I spent about 8 hours since i didn’t want to miss any notes or items.
Also i played on hard mode so i often died exploring.

8 hours. It's a brilliant horror game, second only to Alien Isolation.

Depends on how thorough you are. Anywhere from 5 to 10 hours. A lot of people end up finishing it much quicker, due to lower difficulty and lucky set of circumstances (favorable spawn of codes, completion order). Also many people go for the ending the moment they get all the requirements, not bothering to explore it fully.

And consider that playing on easy to normal difficulty, there is a lot less resource management, so you don't need to get supplies as often and it's easier to move around, so completion time will be significantly lower.

My total time is 15 hours, with 100% completion. Looking forward to play it again when custom campaigns drop.

My first playthrough took around 11 hours but I usually play through things slowly. Fastest I've done it is 35 minutes.

Going fast 3rd play, took me 1 hour.

Speedruns can go to about 10 or less minutes glitchless

Then I'm really interested in how you want to manage it to do a speedrun in 10 or less minutes because I know someone who did it in 11 minutes and this guy was already super fast.. (without any glitches ofc)

The same guy did a speedrun with glitches and he beat the game in 2 minutes or so.

The people getting 10-15 minute runs are playing on easy though, remember. If you're playing on easy you get lots of items to use and a much weaker Beast. They probably set the fear blurring off as well. They've beaten the game before and are taking the most efficient path(s) to finish the game.

If you're playing on Hard then it takes a lot longer.
