Than you for the answer (but man, I wish it weren't so...)
There's no dev vid that says something about that.
Is this the case on hard too? I've had the monster waltz around hallways with the lights on to no effect.
played on hard and usually found that it stayed in its holes as long as you're quiet.
As far as the power consumption goes, I don't think the amount of lights you turn on matters. I sometimes turned off excess lights anyways just in case (soldiers quarters is easy since you can just turn off the first light to turn off every one in that area), but as far as I could tell the power drain didn't seem to change between the start of the game where I had nothing turned on and the end of the game where I had most of it on.
I think I was wrong on that. I was referring to an older video but I think it’s either a mechanic that’s coming in a post launch patch with the Shellshocked or Custom difficulties. So far the main consensus seems to be that the generator drains at a consistent rate regardless of how many lights are on.
