There's gonna be a mod workshop for the game so you'll be able to get plenty more hours out of the game. Some mods might even end up better than the game.

3 hours ? what. no way its that short

The ending overall is a bit "that's it?". I enjoyed the gameplay a lot, much needed evolution for the Amnesia series, but the story just abruptly ends when it starts getting good.

Yes but it's mean to have high replay-ability as opposed to the previous games. It's not just a one and done.

Eh, not exactly. The only real "change" in-between playthroughs is that random items such as ammo, flares, etc. are in random locations. But everything else is the exact same. Some people will find it replayable, I'm sure, but for me, I don't see the appeal.

Form what I heard, the monster is random so it kinda just acts like the alien from alien isolation.

My interest in a horror game isn't down to the AI playing hide and seek well. It's about that coming together with a story, setting and events for a full experience.

So for me once it's done, it's done.

I feel that games have become way to long and, the devs are not respectful of our time. Most games are a grind fest or just annoying side missions. This to be 3 to 5 hour experience is what we need sometimes.

"Buy the game for what it could, maybe, possibly be, if people decide to build free content and that content in fact turns out to be any good". Sounds like a logical basis to make purchases.

OP clearly played the game. States it ends right when it's getting good and is too short. You're buying the game for what it is. Not some imaginary wish of what you want it to be.

Bunch of babies here can't take realistic criticism of their precious.

As for replayability of the actual game. Oh goody, the items move around. How exhilarating.

lol calm down, OP has already played the game and I'm just saying that there will be modded maps later on so OP can get more hours out of the game. But yeah it does suck though that the game is short.

I'm not saying "Buy the game for what it could, maybe, possibly be, if people decide to build free content and that content in fact turns out to be any good."
theres a custom story option but workshop isnt open
i like this game because boom boom

Honestly, when it comes to Amnesia games, I would hardly say length is the most important factor. Rather, replayability is. I recently replayed The Dark Descent, but knowing by heart now when and where monster encounters take place takes all the scare out of it. Which of course is what you DON'T want in an Amnesia game if you want it to be replayable and still keep the tension on multiple playthroughs.

Yeah, it had a great story that it took at least 8 hours to tell, but that's also because certain sections were simply "hubs" that divided scary and suspenseful and safe and calm. I appreciate how they try to maintain the suspense in this game a la "Alien Isolation" style.

And that game was criticized for actually being TOO LONG for its own good (it's literally got 19 chapters, at which point, after a while, the Xenomorph overstays it's welcome). Perhaps with The Bunker, Frictional didn't want people getting annoyed with the monster being "unfair" by unnecessarily padding out the game.

The thing people always say when they don't have a reasonable response.

Yeah you just focus on those words rather than the rest of the stuff I said and keep crying.

it is. only way you're getting more than that is if you camp a lot because you're scared or you dont know what to do
