the problem is not the notes, the problem is the voices and the signs in the basement, it's immersion breaking, of course the notes should be translated so everyone can read them

yeah but seeing what you play on steam of course it doesn't break your immersion lmao

None of the voices are immersion breaking, if they were to talk in french then english speakers couldn't understand at all and many people do not wish to read subtitles while playing a video game. All in All saying why is this all in english instead of asking for "Hey Developers, can you please add a voice setting to allow the soldiers to speak french so it fits the area we are in" is less helpful then you think when it comes to developing games.

How wouldn't that be immersion breaking if everything is French but notes not? Isn't that kinda killing your own point? And how would work that first dialogue for example if he would tell you to go to the pantry in french, translated to English in subtitles but the sign would be French so you have no idea what room it is? It's just not that easy as you think it is, I get your point but i am more worried about trying to evade the monster than signs being in other language.

it is immersion breaking, they should have made an option to switch between french and english voices also you say that many players do not wish to read subtitles, that's my case im french and i would like to play the game in french when it takes place in france, dishonored for exemple was an immersive sim game and it got an english and a french version, no excuse for that

add subtitles when you looking at a sign and remember the word for the next time you see it like you remember the bunker, also the notes are in a separate menu so like i said, if it's in whatever language it doesnt matter, the voices and the signs do.

Do you know how many signs are in the demo itself? I wanna play the game, not learn like 20 signs in french just so i can navigate to some place. And the thing is subtitles is, that i don't want to waste time hovering my cursor over every sign just to know where it leads, especially when there is that " time is running out " mechanic.
