Performance issues
Is it just me, or does this game run badly when the resolution is turned up? My computer can run everything else perfectly, but the fps drops dramatically when the resolution is high

Surprisingly the demo ran better for me than most games. I need to turn the resolution down for everything but I can keep this game at about 90 or 80 and get around 60 fps.

i can run the game at 4K 150% res. scaling at solid 60fps. game runs better then 90% of all modern games.

What setup do you have? I ran the game at 8k with just 20% GPU utilisation, it's the least demanding game I've ever played.

It was fine at first, but suddenly during the demo i could feel a slight drop. I typically can play anything at 4k (5950x/6900xt).
Running at 3440x1440.
Not unplayable by any means given the type of game, but it breaks immersion.

+1
Optimization is very bad, low and unstable fps.
2k, ultra
if switch to 1080, it's better, but also bad

Haven't encountered any issues with nvidia, looks like their code have serious issues executing on rdna

I tried the game on Steam Deck and on my laptop, and so far, I am not impressed with the performance. On my laptop, I have an RTX 2070 mobile, but it ran way worse than on the deck. On the Deck it ran between 30-50 fps most of the times, but I haven't tinkered with the settings so far, but with the RTX 2070 it was only 20-30 fps, with 720p with dynamic resolution too!. I hope the full release version will perform better, maybe it was only a problem with Proton, and I hope there will be a Linux version as well (the previous titles had Linux support so far).

It might be that the game is using your integrated gpu instead of the dedicated one. Go into system settings and then graphics and you can change for each game which gpu to use. Worked for me.
thanks for the suggestion, I'll see what I can do

Actually with Rebirth, the Windows version with Proton was a lot better, than the native linux release.
- Mouse wheel moved items for "unusably" less distance per tick.
- Moving close to grates made them disappear, instead of turning transparent.
- Mod menu was completely broken
All on Linux build, and none, when forced to use Proton + Windows build.
I'm guessing, this is why they dropped the native linux release for this game, as proton runs it perfectly (at least for me, so far).
