Is the "Framerate" Option a Joke?
I don't even care about FPS in Frictional's games anymore, they'll never get past the 60 FPS mark, so whatever, but what's with the "framerate" option in the demo?

First, the text near it says "Lowering this will make the performance more stable" - is this a joke? In what world does low FPS equals stable performance? Yeah, it'll stabilize it alright, the game will be staying still stabilized, running at 15 FPS.

Second, you are bold enough to have a framerate option when your highest FPS available is 60? And not only that, you put fantastic options like 15 - 20 - 30 FPS? 15 FPS as an option in 2023? No disrespect, even console players would laugh at that with their 30 FPS.

Long story short, why did you even bother adding that there?

And I told you it won't do jack.

All that'll change are particles and some animations.

Actually in every world this improves performance. When you are asking the game thread to do half the calculations per second (60 -> 30 or 120 -> 60), you are leaving headroom for hiccups or strenuous draw calls that may be happening. Now you can not like those options and I understand that, but it does improve performance to lower the FPS, just at a certain point you lose fidelity and the game feels less smooth because of it.

Personally 60fps is fine for me, that's what console games are locked to for the PS5, on PC ya if I can go to 90-120, that's great but I rarely tell a difference.
i played in 60 fps and it looks completely fine
i dont own a megaverse sized screen

This is just silly, I sincerely hope they can give us an uncapped option at launch. What other reason should they have for forcing the framerate so low?

Sounds like that's on them. I stopped playing rebirth because it was a jittery mess, Guess I can't play this one either.
