Can't kill beast {spoilers}

I tried to lure him with doll, used shotgun to break bridges, grenades too.
He's just jumping and that is. Is difficulty has anything to do with it or what?

IDK. i saw on youtube that players killed them that way.
maybe you timing was wrong

You can't kill it. The more you hurt it the angrier it is. You will find in game diary about it.
It may flee for a while if you hurt it enough and the time it returns depends on difficulty.

You have to use grenades on the makeshift wooden bridges, only those ones can be destroyed. Throw the doll onto one of them, wait for him to pick it up and send him down into the abyss.

That's exactly what I was trying to do. He's just throwing doll or jumping in midair when explosion happens

Maybe it's determined by where you THROW the grenade? Are you throwing it directly at him, or just on the bridge in general?

Throw grenade once he has actually picked up and is staring at the rabbit

i had to shoot him when he was climbing after he had jumped a gap, eventually he just sat there waiting for me to shoot him lol thx devs

Okay, I made it. Just made beast to jump to the ledge and then shot it.

This. God bless single plank that allows me to lure monster to the right side.
Also I threw a grenade and allowed the beast to punch me, so it will stop for a moment to scream at me.
Rabbit doll works too, but beast must make a long jump so it will grab the ledge. You must act fast and shoot it immediately.
Tested on hard where fight actually hard.
