Grenades

I am still at the beginning of the game but moving forward. I know I am going to need
some grenades to blow open a door or two etc. but I can't find any since the start of the game. Where can I find these? I have moved boxes , barrels and opened all cupboards still no grenades found. Thanks...

They're rather rare. You'll find them eventually, but I'm 2.5 hours in and I've only found maybe 4 non-gas grenades total.

Most item locations are randomized. If you think you need grenades to destroy doors: try finding a brick and throw it at the door twice, just like you did during the tutorial.
