Secret gamer tip regarding fuel

Maintenance area has this incredibly useful room called "Fuel Storage" that upon unlocking and entering teaches you about filling bottles with fuel which is seemengly infinite (idk I didn't try to empty it)

Right before entering maintance, turning left will lead you to a locked area that can be unlocked either via wrench or bolt cutters. Upon unlocking and entering you find dozens of empty bottles.

Intuitively, you might come up with an idea of molotov cocktails, and it's correct. But what game is not teaching you, is that these filled bottles are equivalent to an entire canister that is primarily used to fill up the generator. Using a filled bottle on a gen fills it up, but consumes a bottle...for some reason...

It's probably for balance reason but bruh like is it tradition in france to throw your bottle on the ground when you use it to fuel generators?

Lol, I didn't know that you can fuel generator with bottles) But If have molotov cocktail - I can't disassemble it to fill generator, right?

Yeah, sounds weird, but I guess the game didn't need a deeper crafting system. It's just functional, it works, it's fine.

no a can of fuel is i think 3x the amount from a bottle? its more i know that for sure. so you get way less out of bottles but you can waist one can to fill one bottle. its just bad

Cans and bottles give equal amount of fuel to a generator.
Only difference is that you can use canister to douse courses and rats in fuel, which gives you 3 splases, while bottle is just thrown and leave a single puddle of fuel.
