Is there any way to still play the demo?

I had the demo downloaded and installed but couldn't play it due to being busy. Now it's apparently been delisted and trying to run the executable in windows explorer leads to a "No Licenses" error from Steam. Is there any way around this?

There is. It's kind of tricky, tho, cause you have to disable the Steam api for the demo, and provide a fake steamid for the game to launch (replacing the ID with the ID of a game you actually own)

Also, won't lie to you: the demo is quite short. It allows you to explore the very basic área before unlocking the Soldier Quarters, the Arsenal and the Prison.

Thanks! Managed to figure something out based on your advice.

I understand the demo is short and doesn't represent the full game anymore, but I still think it's valuable to get like a hands-on first impression of how the game feels. A shame they're just delisting the demo, I'd rather they just add a disclaimer or something saying it won't receive any further updates.
