Mac/Linux?

Is this game going to be Win only as per the current store page or will we get the usual Mac and Linux versions from Frictional as well?

I used the web contact form to ask FG directly, it would be strange not to provide a Linux version after the continuous support since the first Penumbra. Also, native might help optimize it for Steam Deck.

EDIT: Never got a reply, their contact form is broken.

EDIT: Nope. I'm considering pirating the game. If they said "no", ok. If they're silent, that's some CDPR level ♥♥♥♥.

linux support will be great, whoever for start works even proton, as long you have properly configured and you use vulkan. (all games with dx11 and less, vulkan or open gl, works properly under correct setup)

At this point I highly doubt it will release on Linux/Mac. Release is just about here and it is still Win only and a Win only demo. I and others have asked here and also directly, and just got ignored. Not even the courtesy to say "no".

That bit honestly has me salty; I've bought every Frictional game since Overture came out (My first commercial Linux game!) because of their support, back when they were on their own store and then again when they came to Steam. Disappointing if they dropped Linux after all these years and moreso to not even get the time of day from them now,

Exactly. If they at least said "Sorry, it's not worth it, we are dropping Linux support because it runs in Proton", it wouldn't feel like a huge middle finger to a community that has been supporting them since even before Steam for Linux was a thing - I've been there, I remember the huge publicity and enthuiasm about FG games because they were one of the best native games we had.

I wouldn't mind if it was a Windows only game if they fixed the left hand of your character being glitched to high hell and back.

Not that I like running it in Proton (I'll most likely give it a negative review just because they dropped support and once again capped framerate at 60, regardless of if the game is good or not) but when I tried the demo, I didn't see any glitch. I saw a lot of people talking about it, not just Linux desktop but also on Steam Decks, I can't see any glitch for some reason.

Is it a graphics/texture bug or something like that?
