Level "the end"

The entity is annoying and I cant get past this level.
I tried walking crouching and running and he heard me everytime.
is this a bug?

This level is hard, If you watch the dev videos it was meant for the next level to be Unlockable through the end as an extra, I divide the room in three quadrants left, right, and back, if he is in my quadrant I will crouch while moving away from him until he moves on, if he is in a separate quadrant I will walk and pick up as many tapes as possible before he comes back

Well i tried this several times. Even when doing everything while crouching and he still kills me by randomly wandering into me every single time. I cant get past this level its stupidly hard

I too can't pass this level! When there are only a few cassettes left to collect, he always runs to you, as if out of spite.

I finally managed to beat it. Its not really about being quiet but being fast. If he is in another area then run for your life to collect the tapes. Once the light is out you are done for

I can never find the last tape before he catches me, I wish it would auto-save at least part way through. Still not been able to get past this MF, which is a pity I want to see the rest of the game, anyone got a save file or something for the next bit?

I did some testing and im pretty sure he can use your microphone to hear where you are, me and a few friends did a few scream tests and he practically 180 on us.

that is intended. Only other entity that has some effect with in game voice chat is Skin Stealers using their voice to lure. Like an echo effect.

I would recommend turning the PC on first, then grabbing many tapes as possible. There is a couple flashlights around on the tables. Grab one.

The Scratcher is attracted to noise. So don't run unless it is walking towards you or use in game voice chat.

You can hide under the tables to avoid it and there is 2 fire alarms in opposite corners of each other. They both can only be used once, turning one on will set an alarm which will attract it. You can use this to speedrun the tapes.

If you didn't beat the Level before it gets dark, the PC can be a source of light besides the flashlight. See how many taps are left and carefully look around, they can be eye level as well so you might miss one.

I try this strat. Hit the alarm to your immediate left, run to computer to start it up for the numbers, then to the right hand where you started to run and grab all the tapes you can, head to the back middle rows to get those tapes , either by walking nice and slow and sneaking, when you do that hit the alarm that is in that back section, run to the middle where you started and star grabbing running for the other tapes. Now be aware this works mostly well solo..

Works well with others too to make it easier (like 1 person checking the shelves closest to the comp while the other does the shelves closest to the wall)

when you pick up the cassette nearby he will hear you but if he's further away he won't hear you, it's best to get the cassette tape when he's further away so you do not aggro him to you when he's close by. It takes some practice but use the alarmts in the corner to your advantage so you can run to get the tapes and speed up some time
