Steam Deck can't jump, thus level is unbeatable?

My sister's playing on the Steam Deck, and she said she tried all the buttons and nothing lets her jump. There's also no option in the Controls to re-bind the jump key. The problem is, on the first red hallway chase level, there's a part where you NEED to jump. The 2nd problem is, we're on Hard mode and thus we BOTH need to make it to the end. Anyone got any ideas?

Nevermind, I guided her into the steam overlay's controller settings and had her change the button she wanted for jumping to spacebar, and that fixed it.

I'd really like to know how jump can be enabled for the steamdeck. In the control overlay there's nothing labeled 'jump.' I think the keyboard command for jump is the space bar, so I mapped the steamdeck's A button to [SPACE], but still nothing happens when I hit the A button.

That's weird. That's exactly how I fixed it. I re-mapped the controller button she wanted as jump, to SPACE, and it worked immediately...

If you can't find a fix, the dev's been working on a pretty large update for quite some time and I believe it's nearing release, I'm sure they'll add a bind for Jump to the game's settings at that point.
