Keypads not working and a mouse issue

so im playing single player and for some reason whenever i try to use a keypad like to enter a code, as long as i hold down left or even right click. my mouse cursor vanishes, and for some reason if i can manage to click on a button on any keypad to enter a code, its never where my mouse cursor actually is. its a guessing game because sometimes it actually turns on the button on the bottom left or right of where my mouse cursor is placed.

now this is a real impossible pain in the arse because i have a keypad with like 5 rows of 5 each and i need to enter a code which is impossible because of this bullcrap. does anyone know a fix? ive verified files and my controls in general work fine and everything
