I've unistalled the game. After not being able to play it for months due to a glitch, I gave up trying to have my question answered so I can continue.

With no news on updates to fix the issues, I sadly find no point in trying to play this game when I can't get passed a certain level.

It really sucks because I was enjoying the super scary factor of this game overall. Ahh well...maybe when they fix somethings I can return to it.

How many other people have this issue you do? It must not be a lot if there is no response to it, and it must be a rare thing that affects very few?

No matter what I do, I cannot use the computer in the Hub area to put the password in to advance to the level with those creepy smiley things. I've looked up a ton of videos, walk throughs, read articles on it etc and everything that was said to try, doesn't work. So I just couldn't advance.

so the one solution i personally figured out and had to use (because i too had issues) was go into game settings and turn OFF the vhs effect (i know it sounds weird). then to get the typing to actually work i needed to press tab once in the computer then click on the button with the mouse pointer

I did make a thread of this same issue. No one read it? Sheesh. Turn off VHS effect.

Switch your game language to any other language and you will be able to skip the password

Right click on the game > Properties > Language
