Level 9 sent me back to level 5- completely awful

What kind of terrible mechanic is this? On level 9 i went the wrong way so now i have to suffer through electrical station AND terror hotel AGAIN, with no way to go back to the level i was on? this is a completely terrible mechanic.

Wtf theres no level 9?? and based on your post I assume by level 5 you mean Pipe Dreams (WHICH IS LEVEL 2) and no, you dont have to go through station and terror hotel again, you're supposed to go the other way this time, which was originally blocked

yeah pipedreams but the second time around so i called it level 9. I am now aware we were supposed to go the other way, but we didnt. we went towards station again and now we have to beat every level to get back to it again. That is a completely dumb mechanic.

its literally a backrooms piece of lore. that all of these levels are interconnected. if you wanted to argue that there should be more for easier navigation of levels that'd make sense. but the whole point of "the backrooms" is to be this giant maze that you never know which door will take you.

Ok yeah but from a gameplay standpoint thats ass. there should be a level selection screen at the very least. maybe on hard mode or something but we are literally just running through it blind. its dumb to set us back 3 stages bc we made a tiny mistake

Was playing with 4 people. originally went the new way but we didnt all go in the closet so it didnt take us to the next level, so we thought 'ok nothing over here;. Sure, its a skill issue, but the fact that theres no level selector IS dumb. it is OBJECTIVELY bad game design.

Yes, I realize that now. I was playing in a group of 4, so it didnt take us anywhere bc we did not all enter the little closet thing. Thinking we had done something wrong, we went to station again. Now we are back at electrical station, demotivated to play bc we have to go through a bunch of annoying levels again

Well, elevators are sentient... an being sent back on other floors is a thing in the lore too.

Thats cool. Doesnt change the fact that it is horrendous from a gameplay perspective. Not knowing about the lore should not equal getting sent to do the last 5 levels over again.
