There is a wand in the "Cheat Menu" (press the numpad /, select test equipment/ debug) You will be award all of the available equipment to "test/debug". Royal Armor (5 items), Royal Weapons (4 items, no bow or arrows) are the best so far. I junk the rest of the stuff myself (leather, iron, steel) by grabbing it and dropping it onto the ground, or putting it into boxes if I want to test them out later, (there is no sort mechanism yet to help with this), but you'll be carrying way too much weight (encumbered) with all the equipment that you are issued? Get dressed by putting the armor into the appropriate slots, the ring gives you a light to see in the dark, very useful (head slot), then put your weapons into the hotbar for easy access, just click on the items, drag them over to the slots.
Aluring Staff for seduction
With the staff you fly/float around instead of walking/running, but mostly you can cast spells to make the enemy "do the thing you know, honestly."..., make babies, then they can become followers.
tab in/out for menues is a thing in survival games. its uncommon but this isnt the first game like that. more options are always better though.
i just left a hotbar slot empty to have no weapon
monster ai is pretty bad. and while the game tells u to dodge with space, key binds tells u its alt. with blocking attack, dodge and just running away its SUPER easy to avoid them. i agree
weapons never felt useless! u make a wood spear and it allows u to attack faster and hit MUCH harder. the biggest issues is their durability. it wasnt till i made a steel greatsword that i could kill tons of things without durability concerns
ya part of the problem with the mating aspect of this game is the bugs. many times i lost my GRIT and would just die. when u dont have grit it does not show??? so the ingame explaination does not make sense when u cant see what its talking about. also it seems like grit goes away as u use it in the full/normal game. so that might be part of the bug of the grit being buggy. also the game should TELL u what levels are what grit level. so u know u can aim for a level instead of just blinding grinding and trying a mate and then being told u cant handle it and u clearly have more hearts than they have skulls!!!!
I played for a few hours wasn't too bad, character creator was not bad.
Yes, agreed. This is a pet peeve if mine. ESC should back you out of any menu. Also, 99% of the time, if you "take all", you're done, so the window should close by itself, IMO.
A big "Yes" on that too. Or as lemmac1 suggested, hit the quickbar key again.
Perhaps, but my only gripe is the super-low durability.
That's a huge yes also. I remember scratching my head, wondering why I just died and no opportunity to, erm, work off the dispute.
I tried Vegas Doc's suggestion... That staff works on anything that is capable of breeding. I think you still need to have sufficient grit to survive the encounter, however, but at least you don't have to fight or play games. I would say you don't actually fly with the staff, though. You really only hover.
For me, the biggest complaint is that I'm stuck on one island. I see trailers showing these other places, but no way to get there. Even the first quest you get (from the woman by the portal) cannot be finished.
BUT, it IS early access, after all. I think it has potential.
