MyFaction breifcases(lootboxes) RNG

I've won 60 games, 60 briefcases, 3 of those superstar cards got, 2 were duplicates.
They seem to made the superstar cards even more rare.
Still got duplicates to worry about.
They make the AI a bit more annoying in Faction Wars too, seeing like 2-7mins a game.

8 briefcases an hour, I'll play 3 hours before getting burnt out. Then sometimes so burnt out, don't even want to do the next day.
Tedious grind.

I'll make 450 average per match.

Those briefcase rewards they stop, they need to have a post 101 every 3 games or so, earn 2500 points.

Just saving for those big decks because they have an extra card, I could careless what these deck contain.

You can only buy one of these early still bad cards decks. For $99. Thats how crazy these prices are. It's not really anything "I want" in these decks either.

528 matches for one of those decks, thats just crazy.

Feel pretty done with those mode, RNG is just so stupid with briefcases and those superstar cards. I could go another 100 matches and still miss that 1 superstar.

It's not even anything special it's more of a keeping up with the game as it progresses. Can't keep up with the game when the RNG is so horrendous.

MyFaction packs are a scam

12000 for the only pack that can give you anything effective. superstars pack is good to get a ton of bronze guys but the high rarity ones that can survive more difficult matches are only available in the 12000 pack. Thats fine, no complaints here. It is what it is.

Problem is you can get duplicates. I had 2 packs.
One pack per superstar is all you can get. Both packs had the same character. Out of all the people you could get, I got a dupe.
Now, that by itself doesnt have to be a problem.

Except you can't use the other character. It gets turned into points. How many points? 200.
I added up the value of both packs. Since cosmetics have no value, I managed to pull about 2500 MFP worth out of 24000 spent + 1 character (and i'm glad I got her)

But this means you can spend money on packs, and they just transmute duplicates into less points than the pack was worth.

They could've given us a redraw , or made it so that you can't get dupes. Instead, they turn the only character (and thus the only reason to buy the pack) into 200 points when the pack costs 12000 to attempt a draw.

This means they think its reasonable from a financial perspective to purchase 60 packs before you get a redraw.

A pack should never be capable of yielding LESS than nothing. It should not be capable of yielding less than you spent on the pack.

MyFaction packs are an actual, genuine, scam. Do not be a sucker.
And I say this as someone that supports microtransactions.
Theres a difference between supporting the developers financially, and being swindled.

This is called Lootbox RNG.

A lot of games use this RNG system, like Guild Wars 2, black lion chests.
Yes, agreed the point value on the cards is really low, if I recall 2K22, diamonds are like 325 points. They come from 15600 pack.

Was saying in 2K22, even the $$$ to buy points then use on cards, you could spend $1000 and only get like 20% of the total cards. Especially if you use it on some deck where you need 1 or 2 more cards. RNG will make you waste all your money.
$100 gets you about 33 cards
You're likely to end up still missing cards if you focus on a certain deck.

Only reason they show % is some countries are more lenient on this lootbox RNG system, where if you show % and a couple other stuff they allow it.

I'd be so angry if spent any money on packs. The odds are awful.

The only way to really progress is through the token market. I only have one card in use from packs. The others are all from the token market. The only annoying thing right now, is that you can't unlock the amethyst (or higher) cards yet. I've unlocked 17 rubies, but the amethysts are not activated yet. Not sure when they will be doing that either.

Hope its better this year than last. Tried to get Undertaker in hell in cell pack. Only sapphire card in pack with 23% chance. Tried 28 times and all failed. Over 300k MF waisted. IMO

Haven't spent a dime and I've been actually enjoying MyFaction this year. As stated above return on dups is a joke - but I've found the grind to be much more rewarding this year

Heh yeah the dupes are same as last year or similar.
Diamond superstar card 315 points. Costs 15600 to get the pack though. 2% of a packs value, pretty bad. So 50 dupes = 1 pack.

I don't like the RNG of the pack. Feel like there is more code.
I mean it doesn't show the odds of the diamond cards or whatever cards
it shows the odds to get diamonds but to get specific diamond it could be
40% for diamond
diamond a = 60%
diamond b = 35%
diamond c = 5%
or
if you have 2/3
the 3/3 is 5% chance

probably why its still banned in some countries or some countries, they want very specific breakdown, thats why we even have a breakdown if it wasn't for countries putting some limits I'd expect this game to be straight up guessing game RNG. Some countries just don't allow RNG at all.

One thing I don't like is, they make it so you have do the collector to earn the card.
The card is nothing special, its not like a unique outfit superstar card, its just a random card reward that you can get better ones easier elsewhere.

The LOE for some of these cards the reward is garbage

Whoever whiteboarded thought of it, and told developers to put it in because sounds cool. You realize you have something else if you complete game in under a minute it makes people wait?
Can easily get more than 100 points playing another minute and avoiding the "you finished so quickly"

get more points than the reward. These rewards are pretty garbage too, eventually the packs are going to cost 15600, and these daily rewards 75points? thats not going to cut it.

IF you think this is a scam try WWE supercards by 2K. thats a grand master scam. In any case, I only go for deluxe packs of those collections which have the least superstars in them and give a decent unlock when you collect all of them. Like Wrestlemania I think from WWE 2K22. Other packs are just not worth going after. The whole MyFaction isn't worth going after tbh. Even 2K was surprised at its success from what I remember reading all over the internet.

I didn't liked it too much last years also, I than started to grind stuff, but yeah , its kinda grindy to get stuff, for me it doesn't really make sense, or I dont understand it perhaps, but those packs really doesn't look that good for what it cost. This time I will just try to save currency till there will be a pack that can contain someone I really want perhaps. Idk maybe its me, but the fighters you can pull could be a bit more spectecular, this is all so so. But maybe its just the beginning I just tell myself

Yeah like last year, they do ZERO thinking when it comes to who they should put in the new packs.

The card system itself, nonsense.
How much effort you need to get packs, nonsense.
Multiplayer in MyFaction nonsense.
Just do normal online play, why do MyFaction. It'll eventually be whoever has way superior cards, and your not even fighting for anything good. More time used and less earnings.

DLC, theres no unique MyFaction for it. You'll basically get like a Scott Steiner DLC, it'll probably be like Ruby maybe an Amethyst. There's no more earning better versions either thats it. Thats how it was in 2K22.

Usually towards the end, like a month or two before the next games comes out, you'll earn good points, and there will be stuff that is actually interesting available.

But the next game comes out in a month, basically not even worth it. Who cares if you got pink diamond a month or two before the next game. Start from gold again in 2K24, those cards earned, meaningless. From observation of 2K22 to 2K23.

I mean if the cards carried over, it kind of defeat their purpose wouldn't it.

The current system isn't so good.
Maybe make the cards insane to get, so if you get a card, your really investing that card, rather than pokemon game where we just collecting cards for sake of completion.

I don't take these WWE games so seriously completion wise, they make a lot of things just tedious grinds.
Like MyRise, already feel the story is meaningless. Everything is already set in stone, I can just watch a youtube of the cutscenes if I really want to watch the cutscenes.

Older games, things more random, choices random but you can make good choices, good options to choose from. Wasn't just go down 2 paths, "we have multiples in MyRise, we are awesome" nah.

This Live system, makes it interesting, but feels tedious, I'm on the clock to do something tedious.

Rather have something tough to do, and a leaderboard on it.
Like defeat 50 opponents gauntlet legend, no health recovering.
50 games legend 8 man over the top gauntlet.
Get the superstar card from just trying once.
Get good reward if good placement on leaderboard.

Right now MyFaction is pretty bland, pretty tedious.
The superstar choices they do, I think its advertising and say if Alexa Bliss quits, you'll stop seeing Alexa Bliss cards.
Well in 2K22, Mandy Rose quit, the last 8 or so packs/decks/collections, didn't include her, she never had a playable diamond card.

So MyFaction to me is just in game advertising. They'll put a lot of same superstar to push them via the game. Mustafa Ali, appeared in 3 packs/decks/collections out of 4, 3/4 he's getting pushed.
3/160, out of 160 superstars, he's made it in 3 times. Nikki Bella, probably others. GOLDBERG. Nikki Bella, Goldberg aint even in.

No Nikki Bella,
maybe because they want to have perceived as tougher, so maybe Amethyst token market.

Have Trish Stratus Ruby in the 3rd pack/deck/collection.
4th one no one else, or Chyna.

Nikki Bella must be final boss in women's division.

I'm pretty sure someone, most likely data analyst or marketing person, they pick whoever and put them in the upcoming cards/packs/decks,

Some of the cards may not be obtainable if you don't get them right away, like a weekly, 2K22 ultimate warrior in a weekly poofed. replaced with 5000 points or something like that.
2K22 they had plenty diamonds out, Goldberg didn't get his diamond until a month before 2K23.

The pack prices they get worse too, and the previous ones don't get cheaper.
So eventually you'll have
pack say like 2 months now, cost 15600, 11% amethyst chance
pack say like 8 months now, cost 15600, 44% diamond chance (the other pack same cost), you'll probably get like gigi dolin diamond, meanwhile the other pack same price but has a ruby gigi dolin.

2K24, I think it'd more fun in MyFaction if its, less about collecting everything for sake of 100%ing it.
More about my actual team. Investing in a card.
I don't even use sideplates in 2K22 or 2K23, those sideplate packs annoy me.
Anyways, maybe singleplayer play gets card to certain OVR, then if I truly want to 99 the card, evolve the card. I play online. Online play gives me really nice card rewards.
Thats what I recommend for 2K24.
Challenges singeplayer really hard, like Golden AJ styles tower, pretty hard.
Singleplayer challengemode leaderboard, online leaderboard, good rewards online and from challengemode.
I'm talking i actually get packs/decks or equivalent from those modes or enough points earned where i can buy them or more. Not no 600 points, 600 aint squat.
Live mode, if thats suppose to be a challenge thats just more tedious stuff.
Do the samething 9 times until you get the final reward, how about 1 grueling gauntlet for a good reward like the superstar card. Be a lot more fun.
2K19 gauntlet, they had 12 people legend, for chump points, I don't want that. I want a challenge and rewarding reward. 20k points for doing a grueling challenge or more.
