SLOW MO FIX?

Last year we had that god awful slow mo for 2K22. Right now I seem to be experiencing the same issue and it's effecting 2K SHOWCASE by making the real footage go one frame at a time during a match. Just wondering if anybody else is having the same issue as me. And if so, how the hell do I fix this? I'm playing it at full 4K at the moment too by the way. The matches are slow mo and the entrances are slow mo too it seems. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

so i think ive figured it out, turn time game update off in the config file, then you have to use some app (i use nvidea control panel) to limit the game to 60fps as above this makes the game go super speed :)

This is why after my horrendous experience last year on various fronts, vowed never to bite again unless it became clear my biggest issued were fully addressed. While the slow down issue wasn't particularly bothersome to me, it did speak to the overall lack of polish the game suffered from, and the fact that it's still here this year does nothing to make me think they've actually substantively improved the game on a fundamental technical level (and no, adding RT reflections and new skin textures doesn't count.)

Now to see if last year's memory issues relating to community creations, Universe mode bugs, inability to use unlocked MyFaction superstars in other modes, and various legacy bugs that have existed for years, got fixed or are still here. Trying to be hopeful but this does not fill me with confidence. If anyone knows, let me know please.

Well I found the config file, turned off the time game update. Everything else is fine about SHOWCASE. But the match is still in slow mo in some parts. I've noticed that when I go to do the "ROB" "VAN" "DAM" taunt, it's off in timing. So I don't know if a patch is going to be the resolution or this is just what we have to put up with. I'm happy I have the game, I just want to be able to play it at a good frame rate! LOL

I'M AN IDIOT. I had for whatever reason, my refresh rate on my settings at 29HZ. Which slowed A LOT of things down. I had to manually change that back to 60HZ. Which now makes it run smoother. I am using a 4K TV as my monitor, so I thought maybe it was the TVs fault. But now the game actually works. So for those of you having these issues. CHECK YOUR REFRESH RATE!

If it's anything like 2K19 and 2K22 and you're on windows, you should be able to go to your "Documents" folder and find a WWE2K23 folder.

This was the issue I had in my steam deck, I had it set previously to a refresh rate of 40 (to conserve battery) but then I experienced the slow downs, as soon as I changed it back to default 60 it fixed it and work flawless.

Had no issues on my main desktop.
