Mixed Gender matches ever?
In this day and age of all the 'communities' isnt it about time we allowed full mixed gender fights too? not that rubbish were if you tag the only allow the matching gender in the ring... cos thats so lame.

None that I can think of but wrestlers are actors too. So it's just like how Mortal Kombat has a movie counterpart with the same people.

Wrestlers are not acting out a video game... It's almost the opposite of Mortal Kombat having movies based on it.

In any case, it's possible it's a sponsor-driven thing to avoid it.

Everytime people say that, I want it even more that it so happens in the game, again - just like the old wwe programming and video games allowed it. Oh and while we are at it, bring back bra and panties match as well!

I thought I remember No Mercy having mixed gender matches or at least one of the old games but couldn't remember, maybe on the Gamecube. It's only recently that I started playing wrestling games again that it became apparent that it was segregated.

Is bra and panty matches considered offensive or something?

My ask is Mixed tag team in Faction wars option.

One thing I noticed is that in 2K20, they added female MyPlayer. Had a storyline involving male and female, but the end game or throughout the game, they never once was in a mixed tag event on the same side. Not once was a manager of each other.

They will make these male and female versions (MyPlayer, MyRise, MyFaction, Universe) but totally separate the males and females. I don't get it, not even manager, not even mixed tag together.

So,
1. MyRise, can I have a manager please?
2. MyRise can I be involved in mixed tag at end game/ grind part of it?
3. MyFaction can I have Faction war option of mixed tag match?
I don't do much Universe but
4. Universe Superstar with Manager?
5. Universe Superstar with mixed tag route?

This might be because people complained about being forced to have to make 2 characters in order to play the mode back in the Red/Tre story.

Yeah that was 2K20,
I didn't mind it, but how come there was no matches with Red/Tre together?
It was either them vs each other or not together at all. I wanted Red or Tre to be manager or mixed tag match with both of the ones I made. But all I could do is play as one or the other, not both in same match, same side.

Whole story was them pushing each other and friends with each other, yet they ain't even have a match on the same side together.

Gauntlet/Tower grind afterwards didn't even have a mixed tag route. Neither did the story afterwards, no mixed tag nor manager mode.

Not sure about No Mercy or other Gamecube games as I haven't played those games/consoles enough but sure Smackdown series had this from start and until HTCP. I don't recollect the SvR series having/not having it so am not sure but I think even the SvR series had it, atleast some of the earlier versions.

It looks like it is offensive to some people, going by the posts here. Doesn't make sense to me though. Like ignoring an elephant in the room.

To my knowledge none of the UFC games allowed it starting with UFC Undisputed 2009 all the way to current day.

and UFC i understood because they literally never allowed it. i was never into REAL violence between genders.

and WWF / E the gender limits started with SvR 2010 all the way to current day. These limits are what bothered me because fake violence, fake wrestling, is fun between genders.

being able to tell stories without limits on genders is fun. Create diva vs male rivalries. some feuds have the male being superior. others have the diva being superior. just being able to tell the stories MY WAY.

the people that are bothered by this limitation all have different reasons. but that's mine.

AEW FF looks to break the trend, here is to hope that WWE/F steps their game up in the future.

Previous SmackDown! games used to have this feature and would be great to have again.

Sure, some females couldn't lift Brock Lesnar but there's other lightweights to fight. Or, alternatively, there's buff females that could engage these matches that still manage. Regardless, it used to be really fun to merge unsuspecting types in the same match. It's more innovative and challenging opposed to just being "unrealistic" to some people.

eh, to be fair, he has a point. street fighter, dragonball, mortal kombat, basically every brutal 2-D fighting game ever since the dawn of time even as far back as virtua fighter on sega gensis, have all had females fighting men, and usually doing better, i feel like i always lost to the female characters because their throws were always insane.

the reality is WWE is trying to sell to children, and to do that they have to have family friendly content. That means nothing that would look like domestic abuse.

Personally, as long as we can have mixed gender tag matches, im good. i dont need to beat up girls. i just need there to be some representation.

some guys have sisters or girlfriends who play wrestling games too, and being able to both play with their own gender and have a tag match is much more fun. Better than forcing the girl to play a boy or forcing the guy to play a girl. mixed gender matches are important. It also helps with the relationship simulator aspect of these games, building relationships with people and becoming allies, managers, or tag partners is part of the immersion of the WWE universe.

Smash Bros, Mario Kart is pretty family friendly wouldn't you say?
Those games were rated E back in the days. I believe nowadays if a game is a fighting game its automatically T. Hard to say what mild violence is for it to be an E.
Are you saying WWE is trying to be for children? Then thats going to be hard to be rated E, which is ages up to 10. T for Teen is 13 -16. 13-16 is not really children anymore, thats big kid.

In the 2K games they have a moveset (WEIGHT DETECTION) designed for if your opponent is too heavy use alternate move instead.

At end of day, I'd be happy with what we have now but, I'd like to see more Managers, Mixed tag matches.

0 mixed tag matches in MyFaction
0 manager matches in MyFaction
0 mixed tag matches in Universe Superstar

2K20 male and female MyPlayer
0 mixed tag matches with the other Myplayer on your side
0 manager matches with the other MyPlayer on your side

Poorly implementing these styles into the game. They could do better, they could do better since 2019, its 2023 now.
I kind of don't expect them to add these matches to those modes, since it seems easy to predict next games when they have same trends/patterns year after year.

There was this match at one of the recent Royal Rumble (I think 2022) - Intergender Tag Edge vs Miz. Edge got beaten up by Miz's female tag partner. I wonder if to you and a certain part of the world, the word domestic abuse, only means when a guy is beating a girl and not the other way round? Because if that is the case, am glad a part of the world doesn't agree and if that is not the case then what are we even talking about domestic abuse and all? This is a video game.

Back in the early 90s there was a lot hue and cry as to video games make kids violent. Decades later, after research, a strong logical consensus emerged amongst medical professionals that the causal-effect relationship assigned in that case is incorrect. I played Mortal Kombat. Never hit anybody. Same with others. Professionals studied this phenomenon worldwide and revised their standing on the subject. Media on the other hand, obviously doesn't find such researches hot and sensational enough to raise their ratings and a population not well-read is perhaps lost?

If I play one of those games where as a male I am "beating up" a female, then it isn't me, it is a representation. You said it yourself. Representation. Actually ,even that is quite a heavy usage.

You know, some girls have father, brothers, boyfriend(s), son(s) and am sure they don't object when Maryse or Chyna is thrashing or pulling a low-blow on Edge or The Rock. No they don't.

The whole idea of asking this feature is not to "force" everybody to play that match. On the contrary, buyers who want this match are being forced to play intergeder matches in a certain way. If people don't like it they don't play it, simple. And all of this moral high ground, riding high horse doesn't mean anything to WWE or the developer and publisher. It is all about money and the day their incoming cash dries up - due to another WCW like competitor, another competing video game or due to their own incompetency to make a good game (2K20) and if that point this feature turns out to be the most requested or the product wants o appeal to a certain audience, they will find ways to have it there and come up with either excellent diplomatic justifications or plain nothing. A lot of things and rationale and logic were given against GM mode and blood representation in the product. It was still delivered. It is all about the money. Nobody cares about the morals here and I personally don't see a problem as long as it is a video game - video games don't define my personality. In other words I am too strong to be swayed by movies, video games and stuff. For all you know ban smoking, rape scenes and drugs usage in movies - you could very well be spoiling a generation, no?

Our society doesn't allow men to hit women so ain't gonna happen.
