Attack speed is nice, but some weapons REALLY drop off hard without some damage to back them up. But other weapons, do fairly well with it.
With attack speed it really depends on the weapons you're using/gonna use. Fast attacking weapons don't really need it while slower ones do.
Overall the priority that i got by is 1. Flat damage and/or attack speed (depends on how it feels in the field), then later on +% damage.
Also make sure to fill out your weapon slots first too.
Critical is also very good.
If you already have damage +100%, adding 10% only really adds 5%. Similarly if your attack speed is -50% reducing it another 25% cuts it in half.
But for the big ranged attack upgrades (ricochet and penetration) it's a good idea to have more damage built-up before you take them. Since they can knock it down to next to nothing.
Damage dealt per hit is (weapon/item base +(flat damage x weapon mod))*%damage for everything but turrets and mines.
The exact ratio depends on the Brotato after all attack speed useless for Bull.
