soldier build?

soldier is awesome for every wave but the last one, how am i suppose to fight this boss who does a ton of dmg when he just touchs u , then shoots a bunch of bullets forcing u to move, like its impossible you have to keep moving but then u cant shoot either its so dumb, it should be shooting allowed but nerfed dmg or some ♥♥♥♥

I fumbled my first run, so with my second I completely ignored speed & dodge while focusing on a facetaking build.
Lifesteal, HP, Armor, and high dps weapons.

I left dmg% and atk speed as is for the most part, also got some crit if I could but rng wasnt kind lol.

Soldier is probably the least boss-killy char out there. In most cases, you won't be killing the bosses, aim to have enough tankiness to survive the timer instead.

So far I've peaked at Danger 2.

The item that causes bullets to shoot on enemy death felt core imo. You kinda create this deathball sphere that also kills the ranged mobs farther back.
Edit: And I found the boss that spawns his attacks in an aoe to be muuuch easier than the other boss because his phase 2 is a simple cage.

yeah other than damage increases the nasty part of danger 5 is 2 bosses, so you get slaughtered even with high armor and life steal.

stutter step. forget about killing the bosses. finished difficulty 5 just fine

You need enough life+ armour and regen/life steal to survive a hit and heal up enough to tank another hit.
Plus you need a bit of speed so you can stutter step out of the way of stuff while still keeping attacks going.

If you want to kill bosses you need a boss killing weapon like the laser gun.

kill both boss in D5 with 4 ghost scepter and 2 ghost axe with range dmg upgrade
each t3 scepter deal around 100dmg and t3 axe around 70+
300 hp
20 heal
20+ life steal
100% dmg + 50% bonus
170% att speed + 50% bonus + community (lucky to get hoodie on elite box)
16 armor
max dodge
-10 speed

Game considers you mostly stationary if you walk in small portions (stutterstep).
It lowers dps a bit because you don't shoot in the small time frames where you are moving, but if you pick some weapon with low base attack speed (shotgun) that can be synced to your steps, you will be able to play almost as a regular character and move out of the way of chargers, elites and bosses.
You'll need to invest in movement speed more than a regular character, but soldier makes up for it with a bunch of free damage.

Shotguns worked for me.
If something gets close it gets rofldamage to the face.
The knockback makes bosses almost freeze in place while they get shredded and the pierce makes it so you can move and then insta wipe enemies as soon as you stop.
If you have no problems clearing screens, you can forego regeneration and use your massive pickup range to heal with pickups.
