Knife seems a bit useless

So far I haven't really found much use with the knife.
It doesn't seem to to be able to hurt any nighttime creatures and all the other use cases are something that can already be done by something else that is way easier to find.
I think it should at least be able to damage night creatures.
Otherwise I see no reason to ever keep one

you can use it for making a hole in coconut to drink it and heat it up for some reason idk ill test it a bit more

Yeah but you can also just smash the coconut with a rock and if you pay just a little bit of attention you still get 85% of it's drink capacity.
As for cooking the coconut, depends on how much it increases the food value, otherwise you'll be better of just eating it and cooking a crab

The knife pierces the coconut, which allows you to get more out of it.
It also replaces a cooking stick.
It allows you to cut meat out of the night beasts.
I also don't know what the hot knife does yet.

For me, at least, my in hand items are musket and knife since I can't ever get the bottle to work.
