musket hunting

finally unlocked the musket. It feels so good to blast baddies with this gun. I wish their were more island creatures and animals to hunt tho.

It makes me wonder if the Musket is more powerful. I know it's easier to aim, but I seem to drop creatures with less shots with the musket than the pistol. It would make sense if it was, I'd just like to know is all.

yes the musket is super powerful, you can literally one shot enemies with it. Im guessing you are under charging your powder.

Ahah, most likely. I know too much is a problem. I just don't know the sweet spot. It also bothers me that I can see the grains just fall out of the barrel further down.

count 3-5 seconds when loading your powder. Thats a good rule of thumb. Also the musket can withstand more overcharge then the pistol. Trust me once you start one shotting monster, youll go from being hunted to being the top predator on the island

Thanks! I don't really worry about them. I'll pick the bats out of the sky and that helps keep numbers of the rest down. I just figured it was a 3 tier HP system because bats are one shot, dogs take two, and the lizards take 3. But that was just me doing a bad job priming.

also word of advice, dont bash your musket on the ground, with it being primed
and loaded, i accidentally ended my run by shooting myself in the face

Reminds me of Receiver 2. I do find it interesting that the pistol decocks itself when you holster/unholster it.

yess. and I see the new update, we can feast on our prey again. I believe its time to go hunting

The meat may be gamey, but it feeds a hunger I didn't know I had.
