As for toggle crouch, it's something we would like to add but it will probably take longer.
This way you can enjoy exploration without so much stress
Nice, haven't had time to try the patched game yet - how long is the day now do you estimate?
I'm terrible with time estimates, but I would say it's maybe 30%-50% longer than before.
I'm excited to see what the island holds, I'm really enjoying it so far!
Still I'm not that fond of the game, I was too slow making a fire and died night 2. Not going to start over again today. Being able to start at the highest number of days you survived would be great.
i really like the looks of it but i know i hate being rushed in games so probably wouldn't like this one for long. But something to keep an eye on in the future maybe.
When most of the feedback for the demo was "Days are too short" then I have to ask why it waited until release and reviews started hitting with negative. Did you hope to just ignore feedback on the gameplay cycle and day/night? Even commenting that the darkness is going to stay a physical enemy and you are going to keep the short days by design? Because I'm really concerned about the precedent that sets here for the future of this EA and future features. And yet, here we are shortly after "release" and instantly a patch goes in to double day time.
Do we have a roadmap or something of planned features, planned expansion of gameplay?
Is this game going to only be 'get food/water/fight through the night/get food/water/fight through the night with new enemies? I like a roguelike but those work better for platform/heavy difficulty non-FPS/quick games where you build up special abilities, perks, etc. Not sure of the longevity with a VR Survival to just basically be constantly dying/restarting. No inventory, no building, nothing except the three part loop non-stop, and developer reception to concerns and feedback: it's really kind of worrisome as to what to expect a year from now.
Hey just wanted to say - you formed it as "longer days will make the game less stressful" but it's not the stress that's the problem. With the day cycle so short you simply don't have the time to do ANYTHING other than eat and get wood. Zero time for exploring. That makes the game super shallow, that is the main issue here.
There is lots of time for exploring now imo!
The game gives enough hints that staying in one place is suicide. Don't waste time gathering stuff everyday.
I setup a camp day one with coconuts for the next day and firewood so when dawn breaks, I can drink/eat and move on. There is always enough stuff around to start a fire, that's the easy part.
Once you forget about establishing a permanent camp and treat camps as a temporary thing, you'll be finding alsorts of cool stuff!
Edit: I notice the poster above me only has 0.3 hours played. That's what? One or two days of game time? I hope the devs don't make changes based on feedback from players that haven't even left the beach.
