What's your favorite stagecoach item?
Okay, so I know the stage coach gets a lot of hate in some threads. But I've grown to actually really like the mechanic.

So I want to know, what are people's favorite stagecoach items.
Mine is the Griddle. Because I do love flapjacks. From a game-mechanics standpoint it is not the 'best' one, by far, but definitely it is my favorite.

It heavily depends on the pet tbh. The only item I would buy regardless of pet is Merchants' Guild Seal but only if I see it in the first Inn. The only no-brainer for me.
Later on - it depends

I love the Merchant Guild seal, especially if you luck out and get a second inn with discounts for bringing a creature part from a den or just luck out on the inn selling at a discount. You can end up being able to buy anything they sell for 1-3 relics with double discount. Same with the baubles. Even without the stacked double discount, being able to buy more stuff is useful and you can fit whatever you need on that specific run - whether combat items, relationship items, quirk removal... there's something for everyone. Also, you can just unslot it after shopping so you can have four active coach items for the region grind (though you lose the benefit of discounts at the hoarder or hospital; it'a question of what's more important for that run).

Mortar and Pestle, Alembic - both make great inn and combat items. Bonus if you have the snake pet.

Otherwise it's whatever goes with the pet. First inn I'm looking for pet synergies with the few stagecoach items they have, and if there's an item that's slightly useful that matches a pet offering I'm probably going for it and will try to max the pet bonus.

Oh, yah, that Merchant Guild seal is awesome.

I got some super sweet trinkets for pennies when I had that item combo you mentioned. Made me laugh because I got the "Whale" achievement and I only spent like 3 relics....

Assay Gear and Merchants' Guild Seal, both serve the same function which is letting me hoard inn items for the mountain and region 3. I think inn items are immensely powerful and I dedicate a lot of inventory space to buying and hoarding the good ones whenever possible.

Besides that I often will buy and equip one that boosts relationship chances prior to the mountain, as hardly any other items are useful in the mountain and positive relationships are amazing. Iron Brazier and Carriage Lamps are very helpful when using the infernal torches that increase torch drain

Beyond those I use whatever has a pet synergy. At least 1 inventory space boosting trinket is nice, weather that be more space directly or more stacking. Item generation I generally don't value too much because it's inconsistent, but can be fun. The damage books are sorta nice but most the time I seem to get them when they can't be used.

Once everything is unlocked, the Hoarder one is usually the best. Greatly increases the chance of getting the Hero trinkets you're aiming for that run.

Finding trinket organizer or assay gear early basically wins you the run.

Not counting the Merchant Guild Seal (hilariously broken and not usually actively equipped), my favorite is the Wind Chime. Constant free stress healing helps a lot in this game, and it has the oversaturated Luxury tag to combo with the similarly powerful Wolf Cub.

Pot and sill. Free whiskey really goes a long way, honestly. Most runs that I get it first inn, end up with 6 positive relationships by act boss. Wonderful item.

That's one of my favorites too, for the same reason.

Love the griddle. You never need to worry about food again once you find it, and flapjacks give quite good bonuses. I suppose stew pot is more or less the same, but I don't like it as much for no particular reason.

What do you mean "no particular reason?" Flapjacks are way tastier than stew. And you can put so many different things on them; maple syrup, cream and berries, butter and honey, chocolate chips & syrup, fruit jam...so many things.
If you put any of things in stew it'd be gross.

Actually I forgot about this. Yes, if I could only choose between this and the Hoarder, it would be a tough choice.

The stew factory is interesting. After a region you usually have enough stew for the rest of the run, since it buffs the entire party. You can then get rid of it and any excess food. Flapjacks are also produced quickly, eventually you can get something else.
