Demo Update – New Tutorial & Fixes

Hey dinos! If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to bring some friends into Dino Party… this is it! With the new tutorial, your friends can quickly learn the basics and jump straight into the chaos right alongside you!

New

Tutorial added – Learn the core moves and get ready to wreck the arena
Steam Cloud Save support – Your progress and settings now stay synced across devices

Fixes & Improvements

Fixed dinos being able to move through the sweeper on “The Sweeper”
Fixed lag spikes at the start of the “Cracked Ground” lava map
Slightly increased movement speed of the Dino carrying the bomb within "Hot Potato" minigame
Slightly decreased movement speed of the Dino carrying the crown within "Catch the King" minigame
Various bug fixes and improvements

Demo Thoughts

i liked the demo, the flow of the gameplay is great and although i only have 1 other person to play with i could see this being a really fun party game i didnt like the feeling of the air ground pound, i think it would feel better if you could get a forward boost based on directional input and not just the direction ur facing, also if it even had just a slight maneuverability so the lack of control isnt so harsh. - the shield is more of a parry so i think the effects/ animation could do a better job of ...

Demo Update - Exclusive Cosmetic and Gameplay Improvements

This update is all about improving the demo experience! Movement is smoother, gameplay is a bit more forgiving, and there’s even an exclusive cosmetic reward for demo players!

Gameplay changes:

Added a recovery jump that can get you out of a knockback, making getting knocked back more forgiving
Reworked Coin Collector minigame
Made movement more responsive
Increase air control

Content changes:

Added exclusive demo cosmetic that can be unlocked by playing two rounds (you'll keep it in the full game too!)
Refined dino animations
Added Switch controller support
Added Steam Deck support
Added Steam controller support
Added Steam Cloud Save support
Various bug fixes (too many to list here)

Known bugs:

The sweeper on the Sweeper map can be passed through under certain conditions

Very cool game

The game has so much polish that it reminds me of many other party fighter games, but had me and my friends laughing and fun while playing. The variety of the game modes is really cool and the different maps feel unique and have unique mechanics. Really looking forward to the release. Also maybe some modes/random event where the dinos could get some powerups/special abilities could be really fun. The biggest challenge i feel game of this type have, are longevity, that it doesnt get "stale" after playin...
