And that was the closest to an extract I've got in solo. Now I can't even make it to an extract without AI just coming out of nowhere and surrounding me with starting gear.
One time I even spawned in about 15 meters from enemies. Died within seconds.
You hadn't agreed with anything until after I had quoted it. But honestly, it's happening almost every game now. I didn't have this problem earlier on. I don't know if there have been changes to the AI since launch but since around the time that the tier 2 missions stopped showing up the other day, I can't get a run off the ground.
Brought to you by another git gud moment. If I needed any more reasons to get stressed.
Had so many scenarios where the AI just headshotted and killed me within 0.1 seconds with 3 armor plates in.
Or even worse, my whole team beeing killed in 0.2 seconds from the sentry carrying the weaponscache aimlocking/ragehacking everyone down.
Like the unarmored AI barely is that much of an issue even while they also can 1shot you down if unlucky, but those plated ones are annoying as hell to a degree, where they entirely ruin the fun of the gamemode.
DMZ as a gamemode is entirely unplayable as a solo since you just end up camping somewhere grinding plates to lose plates and grind them again, never ending AI chase.
And with the entire lack of well made Audio in Modern Warfare 2 (lack of footsteps) it is very likely the AI surrounds you without noticing a thing and suddenly you hear a shotgun sound and you are gone.
I personally feel like the AI should have exactly one purpose: make you aware of other players and give you a second to breath. Only AI next to the M13B or the weaponscaches should be difficult or dealing this much damage.
Overall id say DMZ AI is exactly as frustrating as the Campaign of the Call of Duty Franchise.
Means the increase of difficulty only makes the game terrible or even complete dogsh*t and has no use apart from causing frustration and ruining the game experience.
There is great AI in other Games such as The last of us Part 1, but the Call of Duty AI is some lowend cheating crap that nobody wants to deal with. Its really poorly coded.
the prefixed spawn are fine its these random spawn that suck ass and the tuneing on some of the npc needs to make another pass most npc AI do their job not to hard or to easy bar the grunt npc which are a push over.
but any npc with a battle rifle or markmans rifle will ♥♥♥♥ you up with lazer vision
Yeah, the grenades popping up perfectly out of nowhere is pretty silly too. I swear they can go through walls as well.
I swear. There should be some sort of "for handicapped" -mode for DMZ so people with disabilities can have their fun without ruining everybody else's fun.
My guy, we're talking about things that are actually not working properly. I don't want it to be easy, I want it to make sense.
I kill maybe 30 to 40 AI on average every game and I don't find them hard at all. The basic ones are dead from a single headshots with pretty much any weapon and the armored ones take like quarter of a mag to finish off.
It's the amount that gets you not their toughness.
