this game is dying as hell. 70% players are gone
People have left this game for good. The game is dying after Christmas. And the data shows its not recovered since then. So everyone is busying with school and work? Dont think so. Activision says they qare not going to release a new game this year, So its kind game over for MW2.

thats because the game is a dumpster fire of bugs without fixes, and sbmm is just more fuel for the fire

Only 79 K currently playing on Steam, Remember folks that's MP, WZ, and DMZ combined.

Yeah combine it all with the other platforms figure in that, season 2 has been delayed to 15 feb and the loss of players on steam charts is relatively smooth, no big peak and suden downfall more like players slowly losing interest due to new content being delayed and the "GaeM DaEd" argument falls apart

Also if this game didnt launch on steam there would be no way to see how many are playing it and no one would be saying anything about "game dead"

It's less about whether or not anyone is playing the game, it's pretty obvious people are still playing it. 80K is not a small number in comparison to other shooters that include a normal multiplayer component. What is meant by "Dead Game" in this context is that for a game like this, it's under-performing. Imo, seeing how many people are playing a game should become the standard across other platforms.

I mean yeah but showing player numbers, avoids the "dead game" drama but of course to take in account this is the first cod in steam since like cod ww2 the player base is just divided between, battlenet Xbox PS5 most of the time I search for a game of warzone or dmz most players are from xbox or ps5, so I have no way of knowing but I would guess thats also were most of the player base is

Ofc they may try to turn things around but you can polish a turd all day long and it still wont turn to gold.

ok, and? what's your investment in this? :3 if i have like a thousand games on my steam account, and 17 'die', i could care less because they're still tied to my account FOREVER, and i can come and go as i please. even if it's an online-only service like some of these games, IT'S IN THE FINE PRINT D*******, nothing lasts forever, you knew that s*** when you signed up for that junk. i pay whaled the hell out of 1, but i still knew all of that would be ripped from me one day, and that's ok because it's enhancing my experience FOR THE MOMENT, whether i move to WZ2 or WZ1 shuts down as a service. same ♥♥♥♥ with fortnite. what you think it'll last forever? all those years of content and development will be lost once BR shuts down, and with no real development on the 'save the world' mode, there would be no outlet for them to plug that content into the base game anyways. as far as a buisness related aspect vs player count and them shutting down or otherwise, that's just how it rolls dude. big deal, another call of duty dead. how many times have we seen that before? yawn.
No Plunder in BR, No GunGame in MP, no ♥♥♥♥ players left

isn't that the same guy/site that claimed they knew a distant nephew that was married to an activision staffer's 4th cousin and was told "dey removin weepon slots frum DMZ!"?

and it turned out to be bogus, yet again.
