Why people keep buying CoD?

General interest.
Every time I see posts like "I won't buy it, it's my last CoD" and everything similar. Then people buy it and complain how bad it is, while still making Activision rich. And then they are buying next one, and next, and next.
Is this the fear of missing out or something?

I think it's more because people want to play warzone. And it's basically impossible to actually play warzone without using the Meta guns (to which you have to level up 5 different guns to have the proper attachments and such in order to play them)

And since Vanguard integration in Warzone 1 you can't properly level up your guns without buying the multiplayer sadly.

DMZ is too much time consuming and if you die you can't use your guns for an hour more or less which makes your progress go slower.
And you can't really level up your stock gun in warzone since you'll get outmatched by everything. unless you come in a bot lobby where you can use a stock gun and still rack up some kills.

I would Like to buy the Game... But the Part that i would have to Play vs people who are legit using Cheat Features... Which makes No Fun to Play against as Mouse User... Makes my decision to a No i Will Not buy this Game Till they make IT Mouse Player friendly...

i was done with the franchise when vanguard came out and had the stupid idea of buying mw2 because i thought they might have thought about how they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up vanguard but they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up modern warfare 2 even worse so yeah, i don't care what the next one is, i'm not buying it

how was mw2 2022 worse than vanguard?

how was mw2 2022 worse than vanguard?

I bought it cause I use to play CoD back in the day WAW was one of my favs. I also purchased Vanguard since it was on sale so I grabbed it. Nothing really bad about that game besides the futuristic weapons and SBMM at least you don't get nerfed. Now MW2 on the other hand is one of the all time best selling and worst of the bunch yet.

got this cod only because in beta footsteps sounded great again ........... never been able to hear where ppl are, till there right behind me and i'm dead since game came out. Tho when i spectate in wz i can hear footsteps miles away and crates, so able to warn team with ease.

Yup not sure what they have been doing in the updates but I haven't been able to hear a footstep in MP for about a week now. I can't even her my own ffs.

I've refunded game on release btw, too much stuff need to be worked on

I bought this one cause im stupid. I passed vanguard luckily but really fell for this all mw2 remake ♥♥♥♥. This game is nothing like the original. I even had hope mp would get proper attention from devs but f2p ♥♥♥♥ get almost all the devs attention again.

I bought it for the campaign initially but have grown to love the Groundwar, DMZ, co-op missions. I never tried the free battle royale (whatever it is called) part of it.

I never really noticed if ppl were cheating and am not sure how you can anyway. Are they really cheating or just better at it. Anyway, it's just a game so no point getting too upset if you are a mediocre player like me and don't have time to waste tuning all the settings to be optimal.

Yes there are flaws with the audio in terms of hearing people move about but I don't understand most of the complaints about MW2. Then again I have nothing to benchmark it against.

I wont buy COD anymore, MW2 is a disaster, boring, crashes, hackers, campers.
This game is like a s**t.
