Constantly <200ms Ping Match Searching

Noticed this starting yesterday - Strange matches... sometimes a free for all with 1 or 2 people; Sometimes incredibly long times to find those odd matches... yet when I have a friend I'm playing with, matches seem normal.
It's not region...as I'm in central US (with great internet speeds).
I've seen everything speculated such as "shadow ban" to suspecting server maintenance maybe being needed...and everything in between. (I'm not buying this shadow ban business... as I'm more than decent to folks in voice coms, and definitely not cheating in any capacity; I'm also of the mind that if either of those things were the case, and someone had reported you for it, that you'd at least receive some kind of notification that you'd been reported for such thing? idk...)
Anyone else experiencing this, or have any ideas what might be causing it... or better yet, what one can do to fix this issue?
I was initially thinking maybe server maintenance might be needed... but how would you even know that anyway; I'm at a loss.
Or is it a case of just riding it out and hoping for the best?

you need to get off dial up internet and get yourself some proper service.. you mentioned that you get an average of 1mbps upload? and 0.3 down? thats pretty awful dude, soon as you get this sorted you will have smooth online gameplay.

I never mentioned that... I have amazing speeds. Literally all the time.

Ya I've heard a lot on the shadow ban crap cause I literally went from searching starting at 30 ping to starting at 200 and cannot find a match now. Don't know whats up with it but anytime playing with friends search is normal its just when Im hosting or searching myself and I cannot find a match when searching by myself now. My speeds are 150 to 200 down and 100 to 150 up so my connection isnt an issue.

I've had this for well over a week probably 2 with no change. I can only play when friends host.

I figured it was only a matter of time before one of you stopped by... lol - If you were caught cheating, wouldn't you just be banned? Also... if you could see my stats, or any of the games I play (always live streamed); it'd be pretty obvious that isn't the case. So definitely not that.

you are shadow banned. they wont notify u of shadow bans.. thats why its called a shadow ban. yiu will only find high ping lobbies cus it groups you with other shadow banned players for suspicious activity

You've been shadowbanned. After the shadowban is over you will either be permanently banned or you will return to the regular lobbies.

You've been shadowbanned. After the shadowban is over you will either be permanently banned or you will return to the regular lobbies.

I'm not sure if this Shadow Ban exists or not because, I have never seen anyone or known anyone to be banned. You should contact your ISP and see if the connection between you and their servers is okay.

Not a bad idea - I seem to remember (way back in the days of the original Modern Warfare) that we used to have to do some behind the scenes things with firewall exceptions or NAT settings... idk if those types of things are still required (and wouldn't know how to do them off hand; but can always look it up and investigate) - I did have my ISP swap out my modem, as I initially thought maybe it was going out; but speed tests are all good on that front. Appreciate the suggestion!

One thing I've noticed tonight (the last hour or so now) - While it still jumps to the <200ms ping search; the matches themselves seem to be much quicker to get into now, and lobbies are feeling full again; Could be something server side that is being worked on (just a guess)

There are so many ppl shadow banned that matches are easier to find. You can check your account status through Activision's 'Ban Appeal" page. You won't be able to appeal, but it will tell you if your account is under review, aka "shadow banned".
