Why the HELL do I need a PHONE N° to play Warzone 2.0 ?

I've already bought CoD: Modern Warfare 2019 and I already played Warzone 1.0 and no phone number was ever asked.

I've even played the Modern Warfare II's multiplayer BETA and even there, they didn't ask for my phone number since they recognized my account as an old trusted account.

So why the hell they want me to give my phone number away to play Warzone 2.0 now? No way.

So you can't use a burner account to hack and avoid having your ban carry over to other games. A burner account for example that looks something like a Steam level 0 account with 4 friends and 5 free to play games on it.

So I have never hacked in any multiplayer games in my all life and I am now ipso facto assumed to be a potential cheater and have to be treated as such? Well, they go f themselves.

firstly private profile does not immediately mean a cheater, secondly a new sim card and phone number costs $2, how is that an effective deterrent to cheaters when the game costs over a hundred ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dollars.

WOW the level of ignorance is just amazing you are the type of people that follow any new narrative. YES the guy is right why do you need a phone number to play a game? The answer is you DON'T. If your excuse is the HACK well that's why there is an anti-cheat that bans hackers not the phone number and lastly for your knowledge the cheaters will always find ways to cheat the phone number is not to prevent cheating but for other things also you can buy a WZ account verified for $2 which I'm sure that's what cheaters do. You can play the game without the phone thing on Battlenet it's where I play multiplayer but when I launch WZ the game crashes so I tried Steam but I cant' either coz of the phone thing that I won't add even my Activision account is linked with both Steam and Battelnet yet they ask for a phone number lol
