I don't have this issue, but my social tab wont open it immediately closes if I click on it or hit F2 think it's bugged.

not working for me either, keeps asking for numbers at the end of the activison ID but mine nor my friends have them since they are old

create a party chat with the headphone icon top right then add your friend to the party through the voice chat. or if your both on steam just invite through steam.

its bugged. theres a trick you gotta create a voice channel and invite them in there then you can invite your friends to your lobby through that

An update has just been rolled out, lets me access Social menus.
If it still doesn't work for you, you can invite Steam Friends to your lobby via the Steam Overlay.

just make a private match ig and tell your friend the code of the match and from that you can add each other
