Any news about performance patch?
I wanna play the game so bad but I don't wanna waste money buy RTX 8080, Intel i15 to run the game at 144 stable fps.

Considering the last patch was over 5 months ago, I wouldn't hold out on any more patches.

funny thing, this game doesn't run past 60fps even with a good pc

most games you wont be able to play at a stable 144fps even well optimized ones, no matter the system lmao. Only games like csgo, or stuff like that is that even possible, but no AAA game on that games release dates modern specs and even future generation youll literally never get a stable 144 fps.
Even with frame gen games with it its nearly impossible to get a stable 144fps

Like even games from 2015 non of them that look solid can hit a stable 144 fps.

What's a shame is a lot of the performance stuff could be fixed by just adding pre-caching of shaders on first boot, which is arbitrary to implement.
there is none. EA ended the support for this game. It's completely dead like it's player count.

I'm pretty sure when Quantum computer is normalize it can run this game 144 stable fps, but very far future like 20 years future.

It's such a shame! I've been playing it on the Gamepass with a friend and it's really fun game. In some aspects I'd even say it's more fun than Monster Hunter. The enemies have good tells and patterns, the karakuri building is fun...

... but yes, the performance is choppy and laggy. I don't have a monster PC, but my 2080 Super can run games like RDR2 and Cyberpunk 2077 pretty well and looking good and here I can't even run medium textures without lag. I guess EA didn't want to stick with it and rushed it out in hopes of million sales - and ironically, I think WH could've been a success if they stuck with it and made the improvements.

rtx 3070 + 5800x
running at 1080 instead of 1440 to try and help performance
game runs like crap with default settings
lowering everything it looks and runs like crap
changing from dlss to fsr makes it look OK reduces the stuttering but not enough to be worth playing

HDR enabled in most graphics modes looks like over brightness washed out colors, only looks good in the highest graphics modes

with EA pushing out DLC instead of fixes, then abandoning it, I don't see a reason for me to dig deeper trying to get it working.
Lots of articles and posts with many different "fixes" these fixes work for some but not all. Some fixes work in some areas of the game, but make other areas worse, it looks like a mess from what I am reading.

I'm finding no info on settings files or mods that can fix this Katana engine.
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Engine:Katana_Engine
other games using the same engine have many complaints of performance issues.

They are trying to sell their game engine for external use and it does not appear any dev's are buying into it. Pretty common story where game developer thinks they can build their own engine and turn it into a revenue source.

thats just not true, with frame gen i get a locked 144 fps ultra settings @ 3440x1440p in strarfield on a 4090

I haven't played it on Steam, but I did play it GamePass and the game itself seems awesome; however, the performance issues are insane. It was fine until I got to the second big monster and the game ran at 10-20 FPS constantly from there. It's such a damn shame the game has these technical issues because it felt awesome to play.

RTX 3070 Ti + 7600X + 32 Gb DDR5 5800 Mhz, game in a SSD

I have constant 60 FPS on my case even w/ high settings on 1080p

From memory, even on a RTX 3070 (laptop 85W) + i7 11850H + 16 Gb of RAM, the game runs fine. By fine I mean I have around 50-60 FPS.

60 FPS is more than enough on a game like this that imo so it's ok.
