Maybe this thread can offer some help. https://www.resetera.com/threads/forza-horizon-4-pc-error-0xc0000005-preventing-many-users-from-starting-the-game.72412/
Thanks! I'll give that a try. I moved the game's directory from D: to C: thinking that may clear the access violation, but the crash still happened. I'll give the XMP a rest and report back.
One thing to note is XMP is enabled on my other machines and they don't experience any issues. It's possible my RAM sticks aren't seated properly as well, so I'll reseat them.
Update
That didn't help. 20 minutes in and CTD again. How frustrating. I will continue to keep digging in the meantime.
(Have a topic open on the EA thingy)
As mentioned, my other devices can run this game without issue with the exception of poor optimization and performance. It can even run hours at a time, join and host multiplayer sessions, and advance through story missions without any crashes. I have run out of ideas at this point.
I tried a few more things such as changing audio to English since that worked for some, updating UAC and running it as admin, and enabling network access on private networks. All of these failed.
I then went back to RAM. Looking back into the XMP profile, it seems my profiles are somehow busted, or my motherboard doesn't handle 3200mhz well. I changed the XMP profile to auto, and manually set the speed to 2800mhz. After playing the game for about 4 or 5 hours straight, I had no crashes. It is safe to assume this issue is resolved.
Thanks for all your help!
