That said, any stuff you got to that point is pretty trivial to recover. Food stuff is super fast to get.
You can build fishing boat on the island camp and get tons of fish.
You also can unlock the Food Shrine from the tech tree and that will find 9 food in the zone its put in every 10 or 20 min, and you can build multiples.
I just build those in my starter base in each zone and collect them every so often and now i have 4 boxes ful of 40 stacks of every food in town.
So yes Amateratsu breaking stuff is annoying but its not the end of the world as it was only food storage which is easily farmable manually or automatically.
Yeah, I've seen how items look when dropped on the ground before, but at the time I didn't even realized it had happened since I was in the middle of the fight and, most importantly, it all dropped inside my house after what I can only guess was an AOE attack, so I couldn't even see them at all, only realized it had happened when I found my boxes completely empty.
And while yes, you can get all the basic ingredients fairly quickly as pointed out by King, its a pain to have to cook the stuff again, I had food for specific elemental resistances and for stuff like elemental wilts for different elemental builds, all gone, and no matter how easy the basic ingredients are to farm, I still have to pickle, dry and smoke the stuff all over again which is annoying.
This still feels like a total oversight from the devs honestly, you are being punished by building your base in the "wrong spot" in f@#ing Minato, the literal hub of the game where you go to chill lol.
Anyways, that's nuff bitc#in' from me, time to prep my food all over again I guess...
As much as this issue is easily dealt with post facts, it's still an unplaisant surprise and should "probably" be addressed either by the devs in a way or another or at least inform players on these forums via sticky thread.(though a little popup message right before Amaterasu, would be a lot better for example)
