The game runs without issues for me, and I finished it, even the new content, since end game is pretty much cosmetics farming....after you get that one costume there is nothing more to really do, same with monster hunter. After a while you just occasionally play only patch to patch.
I'm giving the game one last chance, for its next patch, then I'll look elsewhere.
Don't know why but it got a good boost in performance for me.
Or to say it otherwise, 1920x1080 on amd 6600 xt uses everything my graphiccard has to offer while 4k upscaling on full hd leaves around 20% headroom.
i have a suspicion that the game is designed to run in 4k or upscaled 4k instead of nativ resolutions.
Edit:
Tested on the first map, there the upscaling sucs on 4k, works better with 3200x1800. who knows why.
Got any proof to back that up?
PC platform is Dead. They have no reason to fix it.
Games like this don't keep a huge player base long. It's not live service
Wild Heart's 2k players 1 month later...
Certainly MonHun is much more established as an IP, but there's something else it also has; Framerates and stability.
Those that have been able to comfortably play this game know that it's a pretty darn good game, but there's no denying that it absolutely fell flat on its face due to poor optimization. The majority of the truckloads of negative reviews are all about poor performance and frequent crashes.
It's a good game, a great game even, but it ruined its future, and it's getting worse with every passing week. It won't, and can't, have any staying power in its current form.
with the lack of support and this game is still a live service game. as in it still gonna receive updates, i believe people need to band together its not fair we got the short end of the stick. devs have been silent no updates on performance. or possible solutions to even running the game. you have to have a very high end pc to play a game that looks like it came out in 2016. ive seen older direct x games look better this this. ive played all the monster hunters. i can run this game at 45-60 fps. if i stream i get 35-50fps, and im running everything on the lowest setting
they need to tell us something. let us know if they are redoing the code in the engine to be more presentable on more cores,
