Unpopular Opinion: They could have used the animal spirit designs from Nioh

Don't get me wrong, I like the game and want it to succeed but, they could have done better with the monster designs. All of them just look like animals mixed with tree branches, mushrooms or sometimes crystals. Nioh had a large number of spirits animals that looked impressive, they could have used it.

The monsters look like this because they are supposed to look like this. It is to emphasize their "wildness"

To each their own i guess. I like the the look on most critters. It's more varied than all the reptile based monsters from MH imo. I'm hoping it continues to branch out as they release more kemono.

armour and monster design could use some pumping. honestly, for a first opus it's awesome. i'm really hyped for wh2, i really hope they'll stop using that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ engine though.
