Cobalt Lavaback Liquid Rock where?

Killed every version of this guy and haven't seen this dropping for me or any of my friends.

There's one version of the Cobalt Lavaback, and he's the one that unlocks with Fuyu-whatever Fort. The fourth zone, snowy mountain. If I remember right the Liquid Rock is a drop from smashing open his Wounds - the glowy spots that you can do the Hunter's Arm on.

You sure that you aren't talking about Molten Rock? We've gotten that but not Liquid Rock.

My hunter's guide is greyed out. It says I have 10 kills and I still can't click on those arrows for more information.

Been trying for hours to get this drop. Can anyone CONFIRM from which Lavaback and how to get this to drop?

It is from mighty cobalt lavaback. It will not drop in normal rank, only mighty rank. Also theres a hunt to kill of them that always awards one for completion.

Which Chapter is he found in? I am in chapter 4, and I see no "Mighty Cobalt Lavaback" only "Mighty Lavaback" and only awards are for "Purgatorial Primate" and there is no liquid as a reward. Thanks for your help but please supply chapter and title of Lavaback.

There should be one at frozen fort called "Impossible Indigo Inferno" at chapter 4. But if you still can't find it, try doing free roam in the area, activate your hunting towers, if you dont see him in the map, sleep in the tent. Repeat until you see it.

I have killed the "cobalt Lavaback MANY TIMES".. I need to know where and how to find the "mighty cobalt lavaback" can you please give chapter and location of the creature? Thanks in advance.

I have killed the impossible indigo inferno several times as well, still no drop.. perhaps did not break arms when enraged...

I will continue to hunt.. thank you all for your help, I will report when/if I actually ever get the drop .

I want to thank "Shade" for the information, for everyone to come that is trying to get this drop.. Hunt "the impossible indigo inferno" in chapter 4.. he does give this drop as a reward.. FINALLY!!!!

had the same problem with a tusk hoof, i think those are really rare drops

which hunt actually reward per completion?
