Gameplay: It's like Monster hunter but better (IMO). Mainly because it's just faster.. I feel like I have to do less research, and get to enjoy the monster hunting more. Again, just my opinion.
Price: Worth $70 to me, wish it was 60 but been playing the hell out of it so cannot be too upset.
Hope this helps! Once they patch the game and resolve the issue for AMD users, you should see a change however it will never be Overwhelmingly positive due to the lack of testing they did on AMD computers.
No it's not. The game is non-functional for the majority of people. They are legitimately upset at the technical issues. This is not 'review bombing'.
I may change the review in the future... but after this horrible port, I may just leave it negative.
This deserves a negative review because I find it impossible that the devs at any point actually booted this up on a PC before releasing it. The issues are so widespread that it is impossible that they would not have seen these issues.
The alternative is that they purposely released it in this state, which is arguably even worse.
It's unpolished, the weapons are fairly shallow, monsters have very few attacks most of which are cheese fests.
I'm having a good time with it, but my lord does it have a whole host of issues.
It took me a while to shift how I approach combat, so from having to be smart and position well, to just reactionary souls-like dodge rolling.
I am having an awful lot of fun with the claw blade though.

Just like with MH, I want to keep playing to keep improving and eventually pick up the Umbrella but I can't even properly parry due to frame rate. It sucks and I feel these issues should have never been a thing, yet here we are.
Combat is very good and fun with karakuri tools, really creates its own identity compare to MH.
I can't say anything about the price, it's only 45.99$ for standard edition in my country.
Edit: Ignoring the performance, which after spending that much money on a pc is not very reasonable the game itself is a lot of fun
graphics looks horrible, feels like a 10 years old with those texture
bugs
mechanics not as deep as mh, mh have double the amount of weapon, more complicated combo, plus all the crafting, preparation before hunt is a big part of appeal for many people like me, a well prepared hunt with right food skills, item loadout can significantly reduce difficulty
and the price, imagine pricing a new ip double a game 70 dollars when it should have been 40 dollars is absurd
