pros and cons of the game.
This is coming from someone who enjoys God Eater more than Monster Hunter world. And I think Rise is the best version yet they made.

Pros.

-Co op is much better faster pace and more fun and easier to get into than Monster Hunter.

-The combat is fast paced and the monsters are balanced around the fast pace. Unlike rise who improved the pace of combat, but many of the monsters design is not around the faster pace.

-The building system is amazing, and I love that our worlds are designed with custom camps we can make. It is a much better system than MH. I like seeing people have clever shortcuts I would not even think about.

-Not needing to sharpen weapon and worry about sharpness. It adds nothing to monster hunter, and fun factor.

The combat alone can carry this game far I feel.

Cons

-This game runs poorly we all agree, and will ignore anyone who says they run it fine.

-The price of the game.

-Not having all the weapons unlocked at the start.

-The quality of players in co op. Got to remember, Monster Hunter fans before rise mostly older people that don't got good reflex. So people are getting thrown around like crazy because a game that requires to be quick on your feet. This community is not it. So be ready for some bad groups.

Overall this game would be a winner if they did not have the stupid issues of it running this badly.

I definitely agree on the weapon restrictions. Not really sure why the gatekeep half the weapons.

As for multiplayer I really don't notice the weaker players, honestly ever multiplayer hunt I've done so far has been a slaughter.

i like the sharpness mechanic in MH games, the more sharpness the more damage multiplier, but it comes at a cost. I feels like it's little things like this that make the game great, if it was just a "take weapon, hunt, repeat" without any immersion whatsoever it would be a very bad game, in the older MH your inventory management was super important, sharpening stones weren't unlimited and you could forget to take them, same for pickaxe and fishing rod, you could buy basic version of them (in stack of 10) or craft better version using bones or rare stone, you would hunt herbi' before going hunting to get some fresh meat, all that make the world more beliveable than just "teleportation/hunting ground/hunt begins" arcade stuff, the build-up bringing you to the real "hunt" is really important and it's often what would decide the difficulty of the hunt, sadly with world all that was pretty much lost in favor of a more "put your brain in a box and mash button" approche
they're still pretty good tho, i didn't tried Wild Hearts yet (waiting for a patch before burning my PC we never know haha) but the building mechanic seems to be a really good way of immersion in how you prepare the future hunt just a feeling tho i didn't really bothered to watch it and just read about it here and there.
