Pre purchase items only good for multiplayer??

I plan on playing game solo are the pre purchase items a waste for me?
Also, are the samarai armor items just for looks only?

It's just cosmetics and emotes tmk.

The lantern is a cosmetic for your town/map though.

Personally, I feel the game is a bit lackluster solo and I wouldn't buy it just to play solo. The game shines in co op though, a ton of fun imo, but that's just me.

Coop is a blast....aside from when you get teammates who seem to be charge magnates that didn't read how to build the bulwark. XD But its still good fun.
