EA App is trash (rant)

I saw that the first time purchase of the game pass is only 99 cents, so I thought hey that's pretty cheap to basically demo this game. Installed it last night, and then when I try to run it, the garbage EA app rears it's ugly head and tries to install itself like a virus. Due note, I've already grappled with this refuse before, it has failed to install every single time, and I have no reason to care for my lost games from Origin.

So screw it, guess I can't play this game. Not that I could run it to begin with, on account of the massive performance issues everyone is already dealing with.

This is just a rant post about EA App more than anything, so I ain't looking for solutions. I really wanted to play this game too, but EA is just the worst company in existence. Hope they can chop that tumor of an app out of the steam version at some point.

What's particularly stupid about the EA App is that it's worse than Origin; features are broken, and the UI looks like it was designed by a Junior mobile developer. The last version of Origin actually had most of its issues fixed and was at least tolerable. Why on Earth did EA think it needed to be replaced by this new trash app?

Steam needs to update its Terms of Service to forbid software sold on Steam from trojan horsing third-party launchers and store fronts. I believe Steam has the leverage to do this. EA and Ubisoft already came crying back previously after removing all their games from Steam. I doubt they'll go if Steam makes them remove the launchers.
