Tear drop vs. kemono blood dop chances

Is it just me, or is the drop chance for any kemono blood abysmal? In 39/40 hunts i get tear drops instead of kemono blood. Is there any chance to change the odds? Or is it completely random?

So you say i need to fight versions i havent even unlocked to get, for example, a ragetail blood for the weakest armor of the game? I cant imagine that.

you can also craft gear / weapons that increase materials given / odds

The chances I think is something you will never know unless someone can literally datamine it somehow.
in those 40 hunts you mentioned, did you break its breakable parts?

check critter pages for which critter gives what blood
mighty versions give different blood so you may need to press that toggle on the page

I know about the upgrade paths and their materials. I killed Fumebeak 23 times today. It dropped 23 times the all-black tear drops, not a single time the all-black kemono blood. And yes, i often broke its beak, lung and tail. The same with lavaback, i had to kill it 12 times to drop kemono blood once.

No matter which kemono blood i need, it drops almost never. Every version of every kemono can either drop tears or blood. But the blood is simply extremely rare for me.

All-Black Kemono Blood Drops from Fumebeak, did you fight the Mighty one or the Normal one because Mighty will not drop it.

most of my drops are around ~ 1 blood in 4 kills ~

i fight the normal one, as i havent unlocked / discovered the mighty yet. But as i said, no matter which blood i need, blood virtually never drops for me, no matter which kemono i kill :(

Killed another 6 fumebeak in the meantime. Got another 12 (2x6) tear drops. Thats insane.

i have a theory (based on absolutely nothing exept my own experience), maybe kemono blood drop only in exploration, not on mission. i say that, buti'm only chapter two, and i didn't try to make earthbreaker bear set, so maybe my theory is broken
