Attacks didn't feel like they had any weight in MHR either. At least not to the effect that they did in MHW. It's actually kinda hard to nail that in a game, you need the perfect combination of visual and audio feedback. Good comparison was landing that SAED with Charge Blade in MHW felt really good vs meh in MHR. Same could be said for true charge slash with a GS, felt a lot better in MHW.
I don´t like that.
Anyway, Wild Hearts is a game very much like MH, but it´s not the exact same, it does pretty much everything differently.
The attacks are looking great. Not blocky or stuttery like the old monster hunter games. Man that combat system needs an overhaul, too much jank for the average user. Let alone a new player try to even grasp any of that crap (I have played mh alot. just out of the fact it is the only monster hunting game in the us) and now there is options.
I'm jumping ship and giving this combat a try looks tons more fun then mh's current iteration. It's like having a 2nd job and a mortgage doing fights in rise or mhw don't kid yourself if you think otherwise. Especially if solo, annoying af. Not fun in the slightest.
So I'm hoping this here will be a breath of fresh air. So don't jinx me and the folks that are getting it. ok?
I am jumping ship, too. I am tired of the boring weapons in Monster Hunter. I want NEW weapons.
It will be great, mark my words.
yeah i might know someone who play tested the game, and according to them if they fix the frame rate issues this will be a solid Monster Hunting game .
Also, The devs said they don't want to be heavy weight combat, or slow charge attack like MH, even hate it, they want this game become hack n slash more, you're right about it don't have weight feeling, you won't like this game, I recommend you just pass it,
