second back and forth bird puzzle

i cant seem to get this puzzle to work. nothing happens, i even tried looking at a walkthru and am doing exactly what it showed and nothing happens. looks like im supposed to get the lever

I also got stuck on this. Click the left switch and look at which direction the bird's eye is pointing when it comes out. Left means press the left switch next, right means press the right switch next.

The walkthrough for this puzzle may not be the same as yours. You have to look at the circle in the birds eye... it's on a slider. Sometimes it's left, sometimes right. Just follow what yours does.

Oh... I had seen the hint, but did not understand it. (And solved it by chance).
